Start in a similar fashion as for Trail 1E, but then follow the trail toward Monte Ruke to the beginning of the first ascent. At that point, take the road that descends to the right and runs mid-slope heading east. Before reaching a stavolo, you descend toward the lake entering into the forest; this trail is steeper and more challenging than the previous one, but it eventually reconnects with Trail 1D.
