Hi, I am Michele, nature guide, and I will guide you on a journey through history, nature and tradition to discover the ancient stavoli of Hinterseike. Starting from Sauris di Sotto, we will walk along the path that crosses woods and meadows until we reach some fascinating stone and wood constructions that tell of the balance between man and nature. Hinterseike, which in the Sauris language means behind the headland, is a place where every corner seems to whisper stories from the past.
On the way, I will tell you about Vaja, the 2018 storm that left its mark on these mountains, which are now shrouded in snow. We will also pass the church of San Lorenzo and arrive in Hozach, from where we will leave Sauris di Sopra, enjoying a spectacular view of Mount Bivera at sunset, a panorama that looks like a postcard.
